• Colleges may tell parents about underage drinking: Think it will help?

  Yes. The more parents are informed about their child's behavior, the more they can get involved.

• Should she have let her son meet his dying dad?

  Yes. She did the right thing. The risk was well worth the reward in this case.

• Young girls in heels: Cute or disturbing?

  Disturbing. It’s inappropriate and encourages an unhealthy habit.

• Letters to Santa: How many gifts are OK to list?

  We don't discuss an exact number. My kids know it's a "wish" list, so they can wish as much as they like.

  • No limit - it's a wish list for goodness sake! But if you raise your kids right you will find they don't list outrageous things or have a list 20 pages long.

• Is it OK for pregnant women to drink alcohol in small amounts?

  Yes. Pregnant women should not be judged for casually drinking.

• Should soccer player be thrown out of school?

  Yes. Her actions were wrong and she should be expelled.

  • Does not matter if it was provoked or not. As we teach our youth association soccer players - it doesn't matter what the other person does, you don't because it is wrong. Somewhere along the line a ref is going to see the behavior.
  • Not to mention her reaction to what was being done to her was so overblown, so agressive, so violent, it's worrisome. Do you see the look on her face while she's 'attacking'? Seriously.
  • Attending any specific college is a privilege not a right (that is why you have to apply). Her actions reflect poorly on the school especially considering she was at a school event. I would not fault the school at all for informing her she would not be asked to return.
